Throughout my photography career my editing style has vastly changed. When I first started photography I leaned towards a photojournalistic style where I did minimal editing, solely changing the exposure setting. As my interests began to change and I started to experiment with new genres like fine art, macro and portraiture I started to edit my photos more extensively in Adobe Lightroom Classic. As my education in photography progressed I started to take interest in Adobe Photoshop and the effects which it made possible within my work. I slowly introduced some of these effects into my work, primarily applying it to my personal projects which included abstract and fine art pieces. As I became more familiar with the software I integrated some of the more subtle effects like dodging and burning, gaussian blurs, and masking to my regular editing routine. At this point in my career I have become much more comfortable with the software and confident in my editing skills. This has encouraged me to showcase some of my more creative edits.
This gallery will showcase my favorite photoshop creations using different functions like compositing, overlaying, filters, digitals designs, and other techniques. My edits are primarily fine art portraits; however, it will also include product photography, landscapes and macro images which I have created to either highlight the subject or to convey certain messages like those seen in my Ocean Pollution Gallery.
