For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by art. As a child, I loved going to art museums, watching documentaries about famous artists, painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, and more. I was always drawn to activities and hobbies which required creativity. As I grew up my love for art only grew, and I became enamored by famous artists like Van Gogh, Monet, Warhol, and Liechtenstein. I found it mesmerizing how every artist had their own unique style incorporating different mediums, brushes, brushstrokes, colors, and more.
As I grew older, I experimented with every medium I could get my hand on, trying to find the one that felt the most natural to me and which I could hone. I ultimately chose photography as my medium. It was an art form that I had been practicing for some time and which felt instinctive to me even as I explored the more complex and niche forms of it. I have now been practicing photography for nearly 9 years, and every year I find that my love for it has only grown. I love exploring new subjects and techniques in pursuit of mastering my craft and composing my own style. Even now, as a professional photographer, I still try to practice and experiment in other mediums. I feel that getting out of my comfort zone and familiarizing myself with other art forms helps me in improving my own craft. It helps me to see photography in a new light and take new approaches to subjects, angles, colors, lighting and more. In this collection I wanted to showcase my photography that was inspired by other crafts. This collection mainly features abstract and macro photography which is reminiscent of and inspired by artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
