About Me
My name is Lukas Wisner, I am a portrait and still life photographer, splitting my time between Orange County, California and Flagstaff, Arizona. I am currently pursuing a bachelor of science in photography at Northern Arizona University, with minors in advertising and photojournalism. I got my first DSLR camera when I was in 7th gradeI and dreamed of exploring the world documenting the wildlife I encountered . As I grew older I dreamt of photographing endangered species in the wild, and capturing their beauty as global warming and environmental issues began to threaten them.
Initially I was under the impression that I wanted to pursue photojournalism. My time on yearbook and my admiration for National Geographic had led me in this direction. However, as time has passed and after taking more advanced and niche photography classes, my career plans have changed. My classes have exposed me to more innovative and creative forms of photography. I have become fascinated with studio photography, lighting techniques, and composition elements which allow me to diversify my work. Portrait and still life photography have really piqued my interest, as they have allowed me more creative freedom and have let me embrace new concepts. My interest in portrait and still life photography have inspired me to pursue fashion and product photography professionally as it embraces the contemporary and imaginative aspects in a progressive yet practical style.
